Recruiting bodies reject thousands of applications every cycle for reasons that have nothing to do with merit. These are the ten mistakes that come up most often, and how to avoid each one.
The matriculation certificate is the reference document. Type both exactly as printed there, including initials and spacing.
Claim OBC, EWS, SC, ST or PwBD only if you hold a valid certificate in the prescribed format on the cut-off date. A category cannot normally be changed after submission.
Check the pixel dimensions, file size, background colour and whether the photo must carry a date. Blurred or old photographs are a standard ground for rejection.
If the notification says the degree must be held on a certain date, a result declared one day later does not count.
Read the vacancy table before you select. Preferences decide your posting for years.
Reach the form only through the official notification. Govtpvt lists current notifications with the official apply link for each.
Payment and final submission are separate steps on many portals. Download the confirmation page and check that it shows a registration number.
Submitting twice to correct an error can cancel both forms. Use the correction window instead.
Most bodies open a short window, sometimes paid, to fix mistakes. Note the dates when you apply.
Keep the application PDF, fee receipt and the email or SMS confirmation until the recruitment is over. You will need the registration number to download the admit card and to check the result.
