Persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) have statutory reservation in government recruitment, along with facilities during the exam. Using them correctly needs some paperwork in advance.
A share of vacancies is reserved across categories of disability, but only in posts identified as suitable for that category. The vacancy table shows which posts are open to which category; check it before applying.
A disability certificate from a competent medical authority, or a UDID card, showing a disability of at least the benchmark percentage. Carry the original to every stage.
Age relaxation is in addition to any category relaxation, and the application fee is waived in most central recruitments.
Reach early; verification of scribe documents takes time. Ground-floor seating can be requested in advance.
Read the PwBD section of each notification in full. Current ones are listed under government job notifications. Related: category certificates guide.
